Meet Calvin Sprague
Calvin Sprauge (b. 1987) is an American graphic designer and illustrator. Influenced by the early works of Saul Bass to Heinz Edelmann to Milton Glaser, he finds the eccentric colorful style a big reason why he grew to love design. Using simplified principles of geometrics, Calvin finds illustration and typography a challenge similar to putting together a puzzle. By experimenting with basic lines and shapes, he find harmony bridging the gap between structure and chaos. He believes the best design can be achieved by taking risks, experimenting, and always challenging yourself.
In 2007, he and his brother quit their day jobs to start a small design studio called Pavlov Visuals. Since then, they've worked with artists/musicians from Paul McCartney, Michael Jackson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Beastie Boys to name a few.
Calvin now resides in Amsterdam, where he spends his time satisfying his need for wander and adventure. When he's not designing, you can find him exploring Europe documenting his travels by camera.
